Hospital Releases Ex-Hostage After Treatment for Stress
John Mazurowski, held hostage for two days last month on hijacked TWA Flight 847, has been released from a hospital following treatment for stress related to the hijacking, his wife said today.
“He did not have a heart attack,” said Emily Mazurowski of her 62-year-old husband. “It was a stress thing, just another delayed reaction (to the hijacking).”
Emily Mazurowski said she took her husband to Mercy Hospital on Saturday and he was released Tuesday night.
The Mazurowskis and their 19-year-old daughter, Melissa, were on board the flight that was hijacked by Muslim terrorists on June 14. Emily Mazurowski was released that night, but her husband and daughter were held captive for another day.
The Mazurowskis returned to their suburban Buffalo home to find that it had been ransacked--apparently by an intruder who had heard the family was being held hostage.
