A man who had killed his boss after being fired and had held police at bay for 15 hours until his refuge burned down died of a gunshot wound that probably was self-inflicted, a medical examiner said Wednesday.

Dolphus (Bud) Ziglar, 59, died Monday as fire swept through the warehouse he had occupied after killing Tommy Sharpe, a co-owner of Surburban Sanitation, where Ziglar worked as a mechanic.
