Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, said it signed a 32-month, $21.9-million subcontract for work on an air defense system for Saudi Arabia being performed by Boeing Aerospace Co., a unit of Seattle-based Boeing Co.

Computer Sciences also announced that it received a $6-million contract to design and develop software for the Federal Aviation Administration’s traffic management system.

Beverly Hills-based Litton Inc. said it has agreed to sell half of the business of its Litton Bionetics unit to Organon Teknika, a unit of the Dutch firm Akzo N.V. Organon Teknika will purchase operations including research, development and manufacture of human and veterinary diagnostic products, among others. Total annual sales of the operations to be sold are about $20 million, Litton said.

Separately, Litton announced that it received an additional $4.9-million contract from The Limited Inc., Columbus, Ohio, for a conveyor system in a new warehouse.

Paracelsus Healthcare Corp., Pasadena,, agreed to acquire seven hospitals in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee from Owens-Illinois Inc. for undisclosed terms. Paracelsus said the transaction will add almost 500 beds to its capacity and is in line with its plans to expand outside of California.

Angeles Corp., a diversified investment-management company, said affiliated real estate limited partnerships have acquired properties in Massachusetts, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania for a total of $74.3 million.

Teknowledge Inc., a Palo Alto-based software marketer for so-called expert or artificial intelligence systems, said Procter & Gamble Co., Cincinnati, has purchased $4 million worth of the company’s stock. It did not disclose what percentage of stock P&G; now holds. The privately held company said P&G;’s is the fifth equity investment by a major industrial corporation. Others include General Motors Corp., FMC Corp., Framatome & Cie and Elf Aquitaine.

Los Angeles-based Hotel Properties Inc., a real estate investment trust, agreed to acquire a 275-room hotel in Jacksonville, Fla., for undisclosed terms.

Brae Corp., San Francisco, said Chairman William J. Texido has agreed to purchase the 1.8 million Brae shares held by Edward L. Scarff for $13 per share. Scarff’s holdings represent 41.5% of the company. Texido has formed a general partnership called Brae Associates for the purpose of buying the stock. Brae is involved in manufacturing, leasing and transportation services.

Palo Alto-based Hewlett-Packard Co. acquired an 11% equity interest in Cericor Inc. of Salt Lake City for undisclosed terms. Cericor makes computer-aided engineering software tools.

Western Gear Corp.’s applied technology division in Lynwood received a $7.5-million contract from Kaman Aerospace Corp. of Bloomfield, Conn., to make gearboxes for Kaman’s SH-2F helicopter.

Video Marketing, Hollywood, has sold the Home Software Newsletter, a bimonthly publication, to Redwood City-based P.C. Letter Associates, publisher of another newsletter serving the home-computer marketplace. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Rand Information Systems Inc., Alameda, signed a $2.1-million follow-on contract with Compass Computer Services Inc., Dallas, extending a software development agreement. The development contract pertains to a reservation and support system for companies in the travel and hotel industries.

Fujitsu America Inc., San Jose, signed a two-year, $11-million contract with General Electric Co. under which GE will sell and lease Fujitsu printers and tape drives.

Amfac Inc., San Francisco, completed the divestiture of its horticulture operations with the sale of Amfac Garden Products Inc. to Flynn Industries Inc., a privately held, real estate and food company and operator of Flynn Nurseries Inc., San Francisco. Terms were not disclosed. Amfac Nurseries-California in Fallbrook will be renamed Flynn Rainbow Nurseries Inc.

Cal Poly Pomona signed a 10-year lease-purchase contract valued at $8.3 million for a private voice-and-data telecommunications system from American Telephone & Telegraph Information Systems.

Pacoima-based Paragon Precision Products, a manufacturer of turbomachinery components, said it acquired General Inspection Laboratories Inc. of Cudahy for undisclosed terms. The latter firm performs non-destructive testing of raw material and finished parts for the aerospace industry.

Northrop Corp., Los Angeles, said its Wilcox Electric unit received an $8.8-million contract to supply calibration and performance-monitoring equipment at 137 Federal Aviation Administration radar sites.
