Flightsafety to Build Center at Le Bourget

Flightsafety International said it will spend more than $25 million to build and equip an aviation learning center at Le Bourget Airport in Paris.

It said the center will operate six flight simulators, including a Falcon 20, 50 and 900, a Learjet, a King Air and a Citation I-II. It is scheduled to open in 1986, the company said.

A. L. Ueltschi, president and chief executive, said the company is establishing the Le Bourget facility to attract a large number of business aircraft operators in Europe and the Middle East not using the company’s services because of distance. He said surveys disclosed a sizable untapped market.
