A spokeswoman for San Francisco-based Levi Strauss & Co. said the company will not comment on the suit until its attorneys have time to study the complaint, which was filed by Fairbear Enterprises in Delaware state court. Fairbear, a Philadelphia-based investment firm, filed a class-action suit alleging that the $50-a-share buy-out offer by descendants of Levi’s founders was unfair and inadequate.
