Senate’s Vote on Gun Control

Share

I have never ceased to be amazed by the willingness of our representatives to blindly follow the specious arguments of the National Rifle Assn.

I am sure everyone will agree with me when I say that the last thing this country needs is another Lee Harvey Oswald, James Earl Ray or John Hinckley. But I am very much afraid that one of these not so fine days it is exactly what we will get, given the unwillingness of our lawmakers to institute some form of gun control. To the contrary, they are even trying to undo the very small steps we have taken in that direction.

No wonder the United States records more homicide by guns than any other civilized country in the world, and that by an astronomical margin.
