Digital sued Emulex Corp. over business practices.

It was the second time in 10 days that the Costa Mesa computer products manufacturer was sued by Digital Equipment of Maynard, Mass., for alleged theft of trade secrets. The latest suit claims that Emulex’s new engineering director, Charles Hess, took design information vital to Digital computer products when he left Digital to join Emulex in mid-July. Emulex officials called the accusations “unfounded and ridiculous.” Earlier, Digital sued Emulex for alleged patent infringement.
