The CLARE Foundation has dedicated two new cooperative-living centers in Venice. The facilities, a six-bed house at 812 6th Ave. and a 20-bed apartment building at 635 Westminster Ave., are not treatment centers, but simply alcohol- and drug-free residences.
Developed with a one-time grant from the county Office of Alcohol Programs, the residences will house 26 men and women who have lived alcohol- and drug-free for at least two months.
