Santa Ana : Police Trying to Identify Man Killed by Cyclist

Police are seeking information on the identity of a man killed in a traffic accident on Myrtle and Bristol streets in Santa Ana on June 26.

The man, described as 50 years old, 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 142 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, was wearing a khaki shirt, blue trousers and brown boots when he was struck by a motorcycle at 10:20 p.m. He was not carrying identification at the time, police said.

However, police said papers in the man’s pocket contained the names “Ricardo Valencia, Hotel Guadalajara” and “Lucia M. Torres, Hotel Plasa.” He has a tattoo with the initials “CCE” on his left forearm.

The accident occurred at a marked pedestrian crosswalk, and police said the man was killed instantly. They are still investigating the accident and said no charges have been filed against the motorcyclist, identified as Victor Quinones, 19, of Santa Ana.
