Carson-based Pic ‘n’ Save Corp. elected as directors Stafford R. Grady, chairman of Lloyds Bank of California, and David Amsterdam, co-founder of Amsterdam, Dressler Co. and president of Amsted Corp.

John Kovach Jr., manager of corporate procurement for U.S. Borax & Chemical Corp., has been elected director for national affairs of the Purchasing Management Assn. of Los Angeles.

Ronald Owens, who last March was named director of Bank of America’s retail banking public relations group in Los Angeles, has been appointed vice president.

Gillian Nash has been elected second vice president-corporate marketing and support services division for Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Co., Los Angeles.

Zoltan Merszei, vice chairman of Occidental Petroleum Corp., Los Angeles, has been elected a director of Budd Co., a Troy, Mich.-based producer of supplies for the transportation industry.

Margaret Stevens has been named managing editor at Executive Publications Inc., Costa Mesa, publisher of The Executive magazine.

Commerce-based EZ Express, a parcel delivery service, named Duwain Q. Weibe executive vice president. Aric Partovich was named vice president-marketing and sales and Michael Morrison was named vice president-operations. EZ Express is a subsidiary of Evergreen International Airlines, based in McMinville, Ore.

Vance Stickell, executive vice president-marketing at the Los Angeles Times, has been elected vice chairman-media for the Advertising Council, a nonprofit group that conducts public-service advertising.

Richard B. Olerich has been named to the newly created position of corporate vice president-sales and marketing for Treasure Chest Advertising Co., Glendora.

Beverly Hills-based Columbia Savings & Loan Assn. named Hillel S. Aronson senior vice president-tax strategies and financial planning.

Michael P. Fitzgerald has been named vice president and general manager of B. D. Fox & Friends Advertising, Inc., Los Angeles.

Paramount-based Mechanics National Bank named D. Neil Gray vice president-regional credit administrator.

CALIFORNIA

Tera Corp., a Berkeley-based computer and software company, said President Robert W. Felton resigned. There was no reason given for his departure, but Tera said he will remain a consultant. Chief Executive R. Stephen Heinrichs will take over Felton’s job.

Frederick J. Ruegsegger has been appointed vice president-finance and chief financial officer at Neuroscience Inc., Milpitas.
