Ronald Olson, a partner at Munger, Tolles & Rickershauser, a Los Angeles law firm, has been named chairman of the Board of Fellows of Claremont University Center. Olson succeeds Kenneth Rhodes, who served as chairman for four years. Olson lives in Pasadena.

Altadena resident Linda Jenkins has been elected president of the League of Women Voters, Pasadena Area. Frances Winslow of Altadena was named vice president and Dorothy Larson of Temple City was named treasurer.

Howard Bowen, professor emeritus of economics and education at the Claremont Graduate School, has been given the Distinguished Service to Education Award by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, an international organization that recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to education around the world.

Margaret Budreau has been awarded the Outstanding Woman in Business Award by the Women’s Division of the San Gabriel Chamber of Commerce. Budreau is assistant vice president of Highland Federal Savings & Loan in San Gabriel.

Dr. Len Holloman has been elected to the Board of Trustees at Pitzer College in Claremont. Holloman, a retired cardiologist, is the owner of Somerset Park Management Inc., a real estate investment company.

Dr. Jane Haskins of Monrovia has been elected president of the San Gabriel Valley Chiropractic Society. Dr. JoAnn Dorothy of Pasadena will serve as vice president and Dr. John Cullen of Pasadena will serve as director.

Norman Marshall of San Marino has been named treasurer and Robin Parsky of South Pasadena has been named chairwoman-elect of the American Heart Assn., Greater Los Angeles affiliate. Marshall, an attorney, serves on the Board of Directors. Parsky, an international finance consultant, has been a volunteer with the association for eight years.

Charlene Stewart has been named clinical director at Frank B. Lanterman State Hospital and Developmental Center. Stewart is the former deputy director of the California Licensing and Certification Division, Department of Health Services.

Fernando Ledesma has been appointed principal of El Monte-Rosemead Adult School by the El Monte Union High School District Board of the Directors. Ledesma served as principal at Mountain View High School in El Monte for 10 years.
