San Francisco society clothier Wilkes Bashford, who paid almost $500,000 back rent and interest to the city after a long legal battle, now may have to pay an additional $1 million. City Atty. George Agnost said he has asked Bashford for the additional money to settle his rent dispute with the city-owned Sutter Stockton Garage. Agnost said the latest request for additional money represents rent due the city from Bashford from 1966 through 1981, 10% interest on the amounts owed for each year and lawyers’ and auditors’ fees.
