Recuperating Gov. Wallace to Begin to Use Wheelchair

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —
Alabama Gov. George C. Wallace will be allowed to use a wheelchair today as he continues to recover from spinal surgery, his doctor said. The surgery was performed to reduce severe back pain linked to the gunshot wound that paralyzed his legs in 1972.
