Santa Ana : Firm to Compile Report on Westdome Proposal

Share

Consultants will begin work soon on an environmental impact report to review potential traffic, noise and other problems that a proposed $35-million Westdome arena could bring to Santa Ana.

City Council members Monday afternoon selected the consulting firm of Phillips, Brandt and Reddick of Irvine to conduct the $102,000 study on the potential effects of a domed stadium. Council members chose the Irvine firm over a lower bidder because “they were the best prepared,” City Deputy Manager Rex Swanson said.

While compiling the report, consultants plan to meet with neighboring residents who have voiced concerns over traffic and noise around the site.
