The Chamber of Commerce is recruiting candidates for the position of executive director. Nanci Hawley, who has held the post for 16 months, announced this week that she will resign Aug. 31 to go into private business. Hawley said she originally took the job for one year, but held it longer in order to complete projects that she had initiated. She said her major work has been "developing a cohesiveness" between city officials and the chamber's 450 members.
