HUD Loan Goes to Seniors Project in Van Nuys

A $5.6-million, Housing and Urban Development, Section 202 loan has been awarded to The Forest City Development Group to build an 84-unit senior housing project in Van Nuys.

A project of Forest City Development Group, the six-story building at 15207 Sherman Way is sponsored by the Retirement Housing Foundation, a nonprofit elderly and handicapped housing corporation based in Los Angeles, and Valley Presbyterian Hospital of Van Nuys.

Work is under way on the project, and completion is scheduled in May.
