Sikhs File Suit for Millions

NEW DELHI —
The supreme religious body of the Sikh religion filed suit against the Indian government Monday, asking for $833 million in damages for the army’s June, 1984, assault on the sect’s Golden Temple shrine in Amritsar and 42 other Sikh sites in Punjab state.
