A Northridge man who disrupted the spy trial of former FBI agent Richard W. Miller was found in contempt of court and fined $500 by U.S. District Judge David V. Kenyon. Glenn Generaux had jumped to his feet Friday after his wife, Donna, had finished testifying about a sale of property to Miller’s family in 1976, shouting that Miller’s financial problems did not “mitigate what he did.” Generaux, a retired firefighter, told Kenyon at his contempt hearing that he believed in the “death penalty for American traitors.” Kenyon told Generaux that his outburst could have caused a mistrial and accused him of committing a “semi-vigilante” act. “You have forgotten we have a court system. Anybody who interferes with it is going to feel the strong arm of the law,” Kenyon said.
