City Attorney Post Filled: City officials have appointed a Brea lawyer to assume the position left vacant by the death last month of City Atty. Robert Hobson. Richard D. Jones, 36, of La Habra Heights will serve as city attorney while maintaining his job at the Brea firm of Shay, Stirling, Jones and Jones, City Clerk Katherine Adams said. Jones will be paid $2,900 per month for 50 hours of work and $70 per hour for any time over 50 hours, Adams said. The city hired Jones for a one-year contract effective July 23.
