Oil Terminal Blasted, Iraq Says

The Iraqi government claimed today that its warplanes demolished Iran’s giant Kharg Island oil terminal, one of the largest oil installations in the world and source of most of Iran’s money for its war against Iraq. Iran had no immediate comment.
Iran is believed to produce up to 2 million barrels of crude oil a day. About 1.2 million barrels are exported, generating most of the revenue for Tehran’s defense budget.
