AT&T; Seeks Cost Increase

WASHINGTON —
The cost of a call to an AT&T; directory assistance operator for an out-of-town number would increase to 60 cents Oct. 1 under a proposal filed Friday with the Federal Communications Commission. The current charge for such a call is 50 cents.
