Specialized Systems Inc. reported a loss for 1984 of $403,500, compared to a net loss in 1983 of nearly $1.2 million. Revenues dropped to $558,500 from $1 million in 1983. The Carlsbad-based maker of telecommunications devices for the deaf was late in filing its financial report because of its failed merger with Raytronics, according to chief financial officer George Coleman.
