The Nation : 3 Probe Figures Sentenced
Three former Chicago police officers who cooperated in the federal government’s Operation Greylord investigation of corruption in the Cook County court system were sentenced to terms of 15 to 30 months for filing false income tax returns. The three, Lawrence McLain, Arthur McCauslin and James LeFevour, helped convict LeFevour’s cousin, Judge Richard LeFevour, of accepting bribes. Richard LeFevour is to be sentenced Aug. 27.
