Spain-Israel Ties Likely

MADRID —
Foreign Minister Francisco Fernandez Ordonez says Spain plans to establish diplomatic relations with Israel next year. He told a commercial radio station late Wednesday that the formal decision will be taken “no doubt before the general elections” scheduled for the fall of 1986. The Socialist government said previously that it would establish ties with Israel when it was convenient for Spain.
