Last week you printed a letter from an irate gerbil, who threatened to start a rodent revolution because its kind have been exiled from the state of California.

I represent the race of female ferrets, a species likewise banished from this state. Such discriminatory injustice could be embittering, but we have chosen not to follow the gerbil's way. Instead, we have been biding our time until the opportunity arises for us to redeem ourselves in the eyes of the humans.

Said opportunity may now be upon us. In the event of gerbil invasion, you humans can count on us ferrets (grammar be popped) as allies.

Actually, gerbils aren't that bad--with a little herb sage!
