Orange : 37 Acres Along Freeway Due to Be Landscaped
Thirty-seven acres along the Orange Freeway will be landscaped with trees and shrubs in the next few months after the California Transportation Commission approved $514,000 for the project last week.
The 37 acres lie between the Santa Ana Freeway junction to just outside Anaheim Stadium.
The project, which will include the installation of an automatic sprinkler system, will serve as a buffer between the artery and neighboring residents and help control erosion, according to Caltrans spokeswoman Margie Tiritilli.
The project will be opened for bids in October and is expected to take about six months to complete.
