Greece’s Socialist government has decided to end the state of war with neighboring Albania in effect since World War II, government sources said. Sources said the means for ending the state of war are under discussion, but government spokesman Kostas Laliotis said the decision to end it had been “irrevocably taken.” Albania was under Italian hegonomy during the war and had fought on the side of Nazi Germany.
