Blaze Hits Tehran Bazaar

NICOSIA, Cyprus — Fire swept through Tehran’s bazaar area during the weekend, gutting more than 50 shops, Iran’s official Islamic Republic News Agency reported Monday. The agency, monitored in Cyprus, said the fire, of unknown origin, began Sunday afternoon and continued into the evening. It did not report any casualties.
