Robert H. Gerdes, 81, Ex-PG&E; Chief, Dies
Robert H. Gerdes, retired Pacific Gas & Electric Co. chairman and chief executive officer, died at his home in Piedmont, Calif., Sunday.
Gerdes, 81, was an attorney who first joined PG&E; in 1929 and by 1953 had become a vice president and director. He was named president in 1963 and chief executive officer in 1965.
