The Nation - News from Sept. 8, 1985
The Veterans Administration has identified 87 doctors working at VA facilities who have licenses that have been revoked, suspended or restricted in some way. A VA spokeswoman said the agency has given administrators of its hospitals until Sept. 20 to explain why the doctors are still working for the VA. The VA inspector general’s office referred the cases to a credentials committee, which will make a recommendation on each doctor to the VA’s chief medical director, Dr. John Ditzler. The commission has not ordered any doctors removed from the care of patients.
