Real Estate Securities Unit to Sponsor Regulators Meet

“Meet the Regulators,” touted as the largest conference to take place in Los Angeles in recent years concerning real estate securities, will be held Sept. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by the Los Angeles chapter of the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute at the Sheraton Plaza La Reine Hotel near Los Angeles International Airport.

A series of discussions featuring speakers from the California Department of Corporations, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the National Assn. of Securities Dealers on proposed tax changes, Department of Labor plan asset regulations, developments in private and public offerings and advertising regulations is planned.

Alan J. Parisse, senior vice president for strategic planning with Consolidated Capital Cos., will be the luncheon speaker, and Peter M. Gans, president of the Los Angeles chapter, will open the program.

More details are available from the chapter’s offices at 7232 Balboa Blvd., Van Nuys. The fee is $200 a person, $150 for Institute members.
