The ACE 2000 will come in three models priced between $699 and $999, about $600 less than Apple’s II-c and II-e models, Franklin Computer’s chairman and chief executive Morton E. Davidi said. Franklin expects to produce about 3,000 of the new machines each month. There are about 65 companies producing computers that can operate software made for personal computers built by IBM, but until now no company has been able to make a computer compatible with Apple Computer’s software, said David.
