The campground at Plumas-Eureka State Park in southern Plumas County has been closed until at least next spring because of danger of bubonic plague, the Department of Parks and Recreation announced. The department said the plague has been responsible for the deaths of some rodents in the area. Monitoring rodent deaths is the standard test for determining the danger of humans contracting the disease.
