Former Celtic star Bob Cousy will head a seven-member committee to screen nominees for induction into the basketball Hall of Fame. Other Hall of Fame members named to the screening committee include Clarence (Big House) Gaines of Winston-Salem State, the winningest active college coach in the country; Bob Kurland of Phillips Petroleum Co., and Pete Newell of Palos Verdes, the first coach to have won NCAA, NIT and Olympic championships, the museum’s executive director, Joseph O’Brien said.
