San Francisco supervisors gave final approval to a measure that will shape the city’s skyline by limiting new office towers and will require developers to share the costs of child care and mass transit. The plan, which will regulate 470 acres of the city’s downtown, passed on a 6-5 vote with virtually no discussion and Mayor Dianne Feinstein said she will sign it.
