Marathon raised the price of a grade of crude.
The U.S. Steel subsidiary said the 50-cent-a-barrel increase, to $27.50, for its West Texas Intermediate crude reflects market conditions. Analysts said domestic crude oil prices are likely to firm as refiners build inventories to produce home heating oil for the winter.
