Lakers Name Pfund Assistant Coach
Randy Pfund, an assistant coach at Westmont College in Santa Barbara for the last eight years, has been hired as an assistant coach and scout by the Lakers, the team announced Tuesday.
Pfund, 33, replaces Dave Wohl, who recently was named head coach of the New Jersey Nets.
Pfund played basketball at Wheaton College in Illinois. He came to Westmont in 1978 after three years of coaching high school basketball in Illinois.
