Dickerson Contract Talks Begin Anew

Ram officials met with Eric Dickerson’s advisers for about two hours Tuesday afternoon to launch negotiations on a three-year contract extension starting in 1987.

Neither side would comment on what transpired, but Dickerson had agreed to report to the team last Friday on the condition that the Rams would open talks with a good-faith offer.

There was no indication when another meeting will be held.

Dickerson, the National Football League’s single-season rushing record-holder with 2,105 yards in 1984, is scheduled to make his ’85 debut at Seattle Monday night against the Seahawks.
