Fluor Engineers Wins Sulfur Facility Contract
The Southern California division of Fluor Engineers Inc., a unit of Irvine-based Fluor Corp., announced Tuesday that it has been awarded a contract by Texaco Refining and Marketing Inc., a Houston-based subsidiary of Texaco Inc. to modify its sulfur recovery facilities. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
The Fluor unit has already begun work at Texaco’s Los Angeles sulfur-recovery plant located in Wilmington. The project, which will be completed in mid-1986, includes engineering, procurement, and construction management for the conversion of an existing tailgas treating unit.
