A veteran Los Angeles police officer was sentenced to six months in jail and 10 years’ probation for molesting a 14-year-old Ventura County girl. Stanley Earl Parker, 39, of Camarillo pleaded no contest in June to felony and misdemeanor molestation charges, vowing to seek treatment for his emotional problems. Ventura County Superior Court Judge Steven Z. Perren said he was encouraged that Parker was facing his problems, but said, “If I were to give no jail time, I would be doing a disservice to the community.”
