The California State Lottery has taken a five-year lease on 4,376 square feet of space at 157 W. Cerritos Ave., Anaheim, in the Anaheim Business center, for an administrative office that is expected to employ a staff of about 50.

The office will be responsible for managing the lottery’s business throughout Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial counties, according to Janet Levine, regional manager.

She added that the first tickets will go on sale Thursday. One-half of the proceeds from the sale of lottery tickets will be disbursed for prizes, 34% for education throughout the state and 16% for costs of administration.
