The Los Angeles-based food manufacturer and distributor said it has agreed to purchase the operations of PYA/Monarch Inc. in Sacramento and Reno in a deal that is expected to close early next month. Terms were not disclosed. Sales of the two operations exceed $70 million annually. Separately, Rykoff-Sexton said it is acquiring certain assets of the discontinued operations of the PYA/Monarch branch in Brisbane, Calif. PYA/Monarch distributes food and related products to restaurants and institutions.
