Raw Milk Products Recalled by State

Share

State health officials have ordered a recall of Stueve’s Natural raw certified whole milk and raw certified non-fat milk bearing the codes OCT 2C through OCT 5C and OCT 7C through OCT 10C.

Consumers who have raw milk cartons with the designated codes were advised Thursday to discard the product.

The Department of Health Services issued the order after lab tests indicated the presence of potentially harmful salmonella bacteria in the raw milk coded OCT 2C. Salmonella bacteria, which can cause diarrhea, fever and nausea, is potentially fatal for those in generally poor health, infants and the elderly, according to the recall announcement.
