New Police Cars Sought: The City of La Habra will buy seven new police cars if the state agrees to the City Council’s request for a grant to replace a few dilapidated police vehicles. According to City Clerk Katherine Adams, the state grant would allow the city to buy police cars at a reduced price through a state program, lowering the city’s cost to $81,690. A budget of $84,000 previously had been set aside for purchase of the cars this year.
