Driver Killed in Accident: A Costa Mesa woman was killed Sunday night when the car she was driving crashed into a utility pole at Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street in Huntington Beach, police said. Authorities said Beatrice Harvey De La Vigne, 68, was alone in her car and traveling east on Pacific Coast Highway when it struck the pole at about 9 p.m. Police and paramedics were unsuccessful in their attempts to revive her.
