Fullerton’s HomeClub Chain Adds Two Centers

Continuing its fast-paced expansion, HomeClub Inc., the Fullerton-based chain of discount home improvement stores, said it will add another two centers to its fold this month, one in Bakersfield and the other in San Marcos. The chain already operates 12 outlets.
The new San Marcos store is the first of two scheduled to open this year in San Diego County. In December the chain is scheduled to open an outlet in El Cajon.
The company has said it intends to use the proceeds from a $30 million private stock placement earlier this year to finance its expansion, which is expected to include three additional outlets by the end of the year.
