Matt Christensen and Brent Hull both scored hat tricks, leading the University of Minnesota-Duluth hockey team to an 8-7 win over visiting United States International University Saturday night. It was the second straight win for Minnesota-Duluth over the Gulls in as many nights. USIU fell to the Bulldogs, 12-4, Friday, in the season opener for both teams.

USIU was trailing, 8-5, in the third period Saturday, and scored twice to cut its deficit to a goal at 17:29 of the final period. The Gulls pulled their goalie for an extra attacker with 30 seconds left and pressured the Bulldogs, but they were unable to score the tying goal.
