Zero Corp. Acquires Advance Engineering

Burbank-based Zero Corp. said it has acquired the Advance Engineering line of workbench products from JCM Industries Inc. of Gardena and will move the business to North Hollywood. Terms were not disclosed.

Zero said the product line has annual sales of about $3 million. The company said the products are sold to the electronic, computer, aerospace, medical and military markets, the same markets served by Zero’s main products, cases and enclosures.

Zero Vice President Ronald L. Hess said that the acquisition probably will be consolidated with existing Zero manufacturing facilities in North Hollywood and that seven of the roughly 25 JCM employees would probably make the move.

For the year ending March 31, 1985, Zero earned $11.5 million on sales of $117.2 million.
