Crash in Tunnel Snarls Traffic in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH —
A tractor-trailer collided with a car inside the Fort Pitt Tunnels at the start of the morning rush hour today, causing an explosion and fire that snarled traffic leading into the city for several miles, officials said.
In addition to the two vehicles inside the tunnel, three outside also were involved in the accident, according to state police Trooper Christopher Marion. Police said one woman was slightly injured.
