Trans World Airlines has set Oct. 28 as the record date for the special meeting of stockholders to vote on the proposed merger of TWA with groups controlled by Carl C. Icahn. The meeting is expected to be held in early December . . . International Paper said its board of directors authorized the repurchase of up to 2 million of its common shares.
